Our interview with Brett Johnson

No.1 Cyber Security Fear: Lack of education. "A criminal can bypass all internet security by simply picking up the phone and spoofing a phone number. The criminal can convince someone from a company to give them access/information or whatever they need to breach the company. It is extremely important to raise awareness – everyone in the company needs to be educated."

Most Excited About: The cyber security field as a booming industry. "The threats against internet won’t go anywhere as attackers won’t stop what they’re doing... this is their career."

Why Dallas? Dallas is a booming location and the area to be in. "People in Dallas are highly educated, hardworking and innovative. Dallas is a ripe area for the tech development scene."

Biggest Trend: Block chain. "Block chain is an extremely secure platform although not many people know how to use it past cryptocurrency. Once people figure out how to use block chain for security and identity verification, we will see a lot of fraud beginning to drop out."
